Education : Through our Educational Outreach Program, partnered with our ambassador animal, Raven, Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is educating children and adults alike about wolves both wild and captive-bred. It is our hope that by educating people on the wild wolf, wolf-dog ownership, and the growing problem of abandonment, that the public will begin to realize that wolves are not the big, bad creatures they are illustrated as in the media, however, they are also not meant to be pets. Only through education can a difference be made.
Sanctuary: When Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary accepts a wolf or wolf-dog, we are committed to providing the animal with life-time sanctuary. Each of our residents are spayed or neutered, receive regular inoculations, and are provided with impeccable daily care. Animals are placed in compatible pairs into large, wooded enclosures that mirror their natural habitat as closely as possible. While even a good prison is still a prison, our animals are given as much freedom and space as resources provide.

Rescue : Whether it is an attempt to capture a piece of the wild beauty of nature, an impulse to own an exotic creature, or some other compulsion, captive-breeding and selling of wolves and wolf-dogs in the US has reached epidemic proportions. All too often, uneducated and unprepared buyers, no matter how well-intentioned, acquire wolves and wolf-dogs only to realize too late that these wild animals can never be made into pets. All across America, these wild spirits languish in cages and on chains.
Abused, abandoned, and unwanted, these
animals are then faced with a death sentence.
Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary provides
