"...painting with passion and purpose"Statement:
I am an oil painter who loves all genre and has a special affinity with animal art.
Being able to paint to help homeless animals is my dream come true. I work at painting and the business of painting every day. All my energy goes into "how can I help?" and the message, "that I have found my purpose in this passion," is clearly told in the work on my canvas.
Every piece of art I create has a portion donated to animals in rescue no matter the subject of the painting.
As a founding member artist of Art Helping Animals, it is an honor to be part of this fellowship of artists with the same, clear focus of making a difference with art.
Bio:
I was instructed in the fundamentals of oil painting by the artist the late John Coldwell.
Mr. Coldwell taught me how to "see" the subjects of my interest. It was his most valuable teaching for me.
I have been a student of the medium all my life and find that it will forever have something to teach. The work of the American Realists was always my biggest influence while studying art.
My work has been collected around the globe, published, exhibited, juried and awarded and I have been interviewed for articles about my art in several publications.
